Good news… I was just experimenting around with the directory path that you can enter into Twonky.
I figured out that if you use the good ol' "..", you can refer to any folder share on the device.

For example:
If you have a folder share called "MP3s" you can enter it as such:
../MP3s

So problem solved, and I didn't need to do any SSH hack.

As the title states, I am trying to use a folder share besides the default "/Shared Music" "/Shared Pictures" and "/Shared Videos" folders.

Some back story…
I was using this device back in the 2010s.
During this time I learned how to do the very thing I am currently asking about - which I remember involved using PuTTY to login using SSH and modifying some file so that the other folder share could be seen by Twonky. Worked great.
Then around 2021 I upgraded to a larger NAS. I did a "factory reset" of the MyBook, and put it in storage.

Fast forward to today.. I am wanting to start using it again. So I set it up, created a folder share and copied over a bunch of media files.
When I went to setup Twonky I quickly remembered that I had to jump though a bunch of hoops to get it to work as I wanted.
The sad thing is… since that was around 15 years ago… I have forgot the details on how to do it.

I remember I learned a lot about hacking the MyBook here on this site - so I returned to it to try to find the info on how to do so - but I have failed trying to re-locate the information.

So I am hoping someone here can guide me in the right direction.
