I think I brick my MBWE :( By accidentally I deleted SHARES and tmp directory and everything what was inside that dir :( When I realized that, I have recreated folder structure. I have created two folders in SHARES dir. 1) external 2) internal. In internal folder I have created 2 folders: 1) PUBLIC 2) lost+found, as was before. I also ran these commands:
chown -R www-data:www-data lost+found
chown -R www-data:www-data PUBLIC
chmod -R 777 lost+found
chmod -R 777 Public
Also I did basically the same commands for /shares/internal folder

Now I have following situation. I can't use web management at all (Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage).
But I can map Public folder, but the free space it shows only 2,8 GB.

Question: How can I revert changes :) Or at least have free space 1TB?

Ok then. chmod /shares/internal

Having never used MioNet (Mac and Linux user) I have no idea what bizzare directory structure you may or may not have. Just remember DO NOT chmod everything. only the directories that you are on the sda4 partition.

Hi. Thanks for help. But if I chmod public dir to 777, it will not make sence for me. As I don't use PUBLIC dir. Or should i chmod every dir that i have created?

It sounds like you are having permission problems. I suggest that you first start using ssh to administer the box. The webinterface is limited and I hear that the alternate interface can brick the book if you edit certain files.

From ssh you should chmod you PUBLIC directory to 777 and then try deleting your files again.

Also I found that it took really long time to copy files.

The device is limited by the hardware. This is a consumer grade product at best. if you want more throughput this isnt the option for you.

As for quota I don't know, but I'm sure someone else does.

Hi Gurus!

Just my small review and my opinion about this MBWE :)

I have MBWE I 1TB edition with FW: 02.00.18. I bought it several weeks ago, and since then I was never able to copy/delete/rename files to/from MBWE. Basically I can copy only few files (if I have dir with ~400 files, only 100 will be copied - example), and then, when I am trying to delete/rename I am not able to do that!!! Only if I restart my MBWE I can delete files or do something else with them. Time to time it can drop connection without any reason at all. Also I found that it took really long time to copy files. I copied around 200 JPEG (300MB) files and it took me about 45 minutes!! Also what I dislike most of all, that I can't use quotas for my created folders. Any folder that I have created using original web interface is equal to 1TB? Isn't it funny? How do I know which folder will use all storage first? I installed SSH and was hoping that using optware, disabling MioNet and do some optimization I can finally get me MBWE to normal work, but it's not my case. I don't know what to do :( Maybe it's a WD defect or something else that I can't copy/rename/move/delete files to/from MBWE? Is there any light/better/optimized version of web interface? Is it possible to increase its speed?

P.S.I am using Vista x64 and Total Commander.

Thank you.
