I don't even know where to start…. Well, the thing is I've a MBWE 1Tb with the 02.00.18 firmware and after setting the SSH hack (I didn't made it permanent after a reboot you'll see why next). I tryed to install GCC (because I wanted to install Nano to edit the SSH hack configuration to make it permanent), first via Optware which I didn't manage it to work, then I found a tutorial which instructed me to find and delete all files with '*gcc*' on it (the version of this tutorial didn't said it would only be the ones inside /usr directory - later I found another that did say so). So I've found two files in the /lib directory (which ones I don't rembember exactly, I remember they ended with .so and so.1 or so.2) then I deleted then by entering the /lib directory and using rm -r -f command.
After that complete mess… Almost all commands stopped working in ssh terminal and then it stopped responding, finally the WEBUI now is completely messed up, the System summary for one is incomplete with a question mark on the speed and when I enter the File Sharing section of it I get a message that says:
A serious error has occurred
Error code:: f00020
Failed to change files permissions
Please try again
Nedless to say that I've tried again several times and got the same error.
I've tried to force a firmware upgrade using a link I found in the forum but all I get is the "Drive is currently busy" message. I've tried the solutions described to resolve this issue without sucess.
I can still enter the PUBLIC directory using Windows Explorer (I'm using Vista 64) and it seems to working normally, but I can't access it by ssh. I don't know what else to do and I'm scared of reseting the MBWE and getting it bricked.
Any help at all would be extremely appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
