Hope you can offer some advice.
A few days ago my MBWE 500 (stock with no mods ever) froze with blue front light on but would not do a thing and I was forced to pull the power cord, when I plugged it back in it spun up but no blue lights can on no matter how long I left it, I tried with ethernet in and out and turning on witht the reset pushed.
Next day I tried again and it can back on and all appeared well, so i thought the best thing to do was check for new firmware, there was new as I was on 01.01.18 so I upgraded to 02.00.18.
Thinking this would sort out and problems I thought all was OK but then it froze again, and same problems as before.
Again I got it up and working so thought I would investigate more, I always thought it had a fan (I remember when I bought it I was reading they are noisey?) , I thought maybe the fan had failed, but on taking it apart no fan.
Yesterday it froze yet again and as before nothing would bring it back so left it off overnight and this morning got it up and working again.
Next and convinced it might be overheating I added SSH so I could do some checks.
This morning it was running at 52C (but saya worst 86C !!!!):

I checked the WD site and its still under warrenty until April.
I dont know whats going on, if I should replace it? Or will I get a bad condition refurb I read others got? Can it be fixed and would a fan keeping it cooler do the trick.?
I have had this drave for ages now and the location and conditions have not changed, if its overheating why now?
