The other night my 1TB 2 Drive (2 500G drives) MBWE reported a drive B failure. I have it configured as RAID 1 and do have SSH access.
I didn't believe the hard drive had really gone bad because it wasn't making bad noises, etc. Of course the drive was bad - I was just too cheap to go buy a new one.
So I logged into the Shared Storage Manager and under the "Drive Management" tab I gave it the "Format New Internal Drive" command and told it to setup Drive B. It chugged along for a little while and froze when it hit the bad spot on the hard drive - Web interface no longer responding, etc.
I pried open my wallet and bought a new hard drive. Installed it, booted up, logged into Shared Storage Manager, Clicked "Drive Management." I'm not in front of it right now, but I think the message it give me is "Formatting new hard drive," with no menu options at all.
From reading the other posts it sounds like it's common for the Web interface to basically "lock up" on a screen. How can I reset it so the menu options are available again???
