I had an issue a few weeks back where a blizzard cycled our power on and off— not completely but more like "brown outs." It was that day I noticed my MBWE2 was not being read properly by the computer. So I cycled it off and an hour or so later brought it back up— it would not even boot to the point to the lights.
Weeks go by and today I took it apart and attempted a variety of methods to see if I could pinpoint the issue. It was when I disconnected the B drive and only left the A drive connected that it booted. It would show up on my list of drives on the computer but it only made available 2.7GB. So I connected the B drive and the same thing happened. However, if I boot the whole box with both drives, it never actually boots.
So… any idea of what happened and what my options are? I'm not skilled at all in the ways of computers so details and probably explaining things like i'm a 5 year old might help :o)
Is it possible the B drive is just dead? Even so, why won't the A drive show 500MB?
Thanks for any help you may offer!
