Wireless Router (802.11g O2 router) + MyBookWorld in one room (ethernet connection)
Vista 64 desktop PC with wireless WG111v2 USB adapter in the other room (so Mionet not installed)
Windows Firewall Turned Off
AVG Turned Off
When vista PC is wired everything works fine (although this can't remain because my phone line is not in that room - so no internet).
When Vista PC is wireless can not access Public share or use web interface.
Strangely though, wireless, it can ping MyBookWorld, the name (MyBookWorld) resolves to the correct IP and I can even map to the public share.
The web interface simply sits at "Waiting for MyBookWorld".
Accessing the share results in a very empty blank title-less explorer window before eventually resulting in "The specified Network Name is no longer available".
Surprisingly the drive sometimes correctly shows the amount of free/total space in My Computer. I can also find it in NETWORK and double clicking public results in the same time-out.
What is different between security settings on wireless vs wired that would mean the share stops working? I've not noticed ANY other behavioural differences. I thought if TCP/IP was working then everything else would follow.
Any ideas (except a longer phone cable) gratefully appreciated!
