Thanks to everyone out here on this forum I actually want to use my old blue ring 1TB again. Good stuffs here - you guys rock!
Far from an expert, I have some unix experience from way back and have been running Ubuntu on my main machine for a while now so I thought I'd give this stuff a shot.
Updated to 2.00.19 before I started in, then got got SSH and Optware going, although I had to add the library export to the .bashrc with the LDSO_RUNPATH probs or it would not work after a reboot.
Library problems addressed I then installed VSFTPD via ipkg and made a vanilla .conf following the install page.
Problem is that every time I try to start an FTP session i get: /opt/etc/vsftpd.conf: can't load library 'libssl.so.0.9.8'
I only have openssl - 0.9.8k-1 and vsftpd - 2.1.2-3 installed. FTP seems to be running per netstat.
Poured through the forums and google with no luck so far. Removed, updated and reinstalled all pkgs but still got the damn error. I'm sure I must just have something fudged in a path or permission but my brain just isn't what it used to be apparently. Any help from the pros?
Thanks in advance!
