i´m new to this site and new in using the MBWE. :)
first a big compliment for this site, its very nice! … and usefull :)
so now my problem:
first i use the Martin Hinner Hack to get SSH acces.
first it works fine, so i get a connection.
then i edit the inittab with following line "::sysinit:/usr/sbin/sshd"
and what happens? right, the MB didn´t boot up! :(
so this forum helps me to fix this problem! (do the HDD on PC and start with Linux and editing it inittab back)
then i replace the HDD in MBWE and it boots up! :D
so i didn´t work with the image recovery!
and ther is my question now:
is there a way to delete the Martin Hinner Hack from HDD?
cause it is really buggy a bit with new firmware.
so i think this one is really better: [http://www.mybook-linux.co.nr/sshaccess.html]
but now i can´t do this hack.
only with the Mrtin Hinner at moment
I try also:
Method 1 editing the inetd.conf
You can have inetd start the SSH daemon only when needed by editing /etc/inetd.conf.
- nano /etc/inetd.conf
Remove the # symbol from the following line:
#ssh stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/sshd sshd -i
Now i can´t connect with SSH.
I must do this Linux thing again.
and when i do this, i hope i can delete some folders or so like to delete the Martin Hinner.
but which one?
someone can help me?
