I'm trying to install transmission on "My Book World Edition" , the one with the white stripe.
I put the SSH to work and then logged as root.
I installed the Optware, and I think that everything was ok, because it writes Successfully terminated. everytime and I can use the /opt/bin/ipkg to install things, so I think that it is ok.
Then, I did all the steps of the Transmission 1.42 installation tutorial. Here are the problems:
I couldn't do a ldconfig. It returns the message:
-sh: ldconfig: not found
I couldn't install the libiconv. It returns the message:
Nothing to be done
An error ocurred, return value: 4.
Cannot find package libiconv.
Check the spelling or perhaps run 'ipkg update'
Well, I checked the spelling over and over and runned the /opt/bin/ipkg update and no success.
I also installed the nano, as the site tells, but, when I logged out and logged in again it stopped run, but it is installed, as said in when I type: /opt/bin/ipkg list_installed
So, I think that it didn't show nano anymore because of the ldconfig.
The last thing is the settings.json. It didn't exists in the location, so, I created using nano (when it was working), with the lines described there, but I still can't put the transmission to work. It appears JSON parser failed in /root/.config/transmission-daemon/settings.json at line 1, column 1: """rpc-access-cont"
When I didn't created this file, it seamed to enter, but I couldn't enter in the web interface throug the http://<mybook ip>:9091. It says that it was Unauthorized IP Address. by the 403: Forbidden.
Can anyone help me, please?
Thanks for the attention,
Sorry any English problems,
