I puchased by blue ring from a retailler in Perth, Western Australia. I just filled in the RMA form and took it from there.
While I had modified my blue ring, Drive A had failed and the blue ring wouldn't boot at all. I had it configured as a single large 1TB drive, not mirrored.
A dead drive is a physical defect, not something caused by software, so it should be covered under warrantly regardless of what you've done with your drive, software wise.
