me too, I did the procedure but it seems that the raid doesn't work, I need the images and the partition tables so I can reconstruct this thing. I found this in another site, I will try it later: deleting the 4th partition and just leave the 3 with the images supplied by chris (it seems that this guy first put 1 by one of the new disks on the box and it (the box) created everything on the new disks)…. let see what happens, have you guys found anything?
This is the proc I found:
**I have a WD My book world edition II (white light) 2Tb, and I wanted to upgrade HD's with 2x2Tb WD Caviar Green (WD20EAR). However, when I replace HDs (brand new), the box did not boot up and WD Discovery can not detect HDs. When I use one old and one new HD in the box, box boots up, In the configration menu old hd 1TB new one 2Tb shows and as usual raid 1 capacity is 1Tb. When I put second new HD in the box, the box boots up, Disk manager shows each HDs as 2TB as normal. However, Raid 1 capacity still 1 Tb with 2x2Tb HDs. Any solution to increase Raid 1 capacity? When I configure the box raid 0 or JBOD capacity stucks on 2TB not 4TB. Thanks
Finally I did it, Ok. You have 2x2TB HDs and raid 1 shows as 1 TB because of mirrored from 2x1TB HDs.
1. Connect one of 2TB HD computer's sata port
2. Boot from Slax live cd, then from terminal panel run cfdisk /dev/sda
3. Delete largest partition (sd4) and create new one as default then change to "Type" as FD
4. Write to partition table,
6. Do same for 2nd HD.
7. Install 2 HDs in to the box, reset
8. Goto configuration menu re-raid
So you may use any size of HD with WD mybook world edition II (white light)bold text**
