I have nearly the same problem.
My WD MyBook Wold II 2TB (Blue rings) is workable (SSH, SFTP, SMB) but I messed up with the original /temp folder which is important for the lighttpd service. So I can't start it anymore -> no configuration with webinterface anymore.
Get following Error Message: -> /tmp Folder was deleted; made a new one, but I think there were files inside before….
[root@ORCA-NAS1 init.d]# lighttpd.sh start
[root@ORCA-NAS1 init.d]# 2009-10-20 12:25:21: (mod_fastcgi.c.807) bind failed for: /tmp/lighttpd.fcgi.socket-0 0 Permission denied
2009-10-20 12:25:21: (mod_fastcgi.c.1200) [ERROR]: spawning fcgi failed.
2009-10-20 12:25:21: (server.c.673) Configuration of plugins failed. Going down.
I searched around in the forum, but I can't find any source of a "File Pool" from the MyBook World NAS. Just found Image Files. (I don't know how to open that for only file resources…) Do there any original backupfiles exists in the Wiki?
Otherwise could someone be so pleasant and send me the whole /temp folder to repair my webinterface?
