I need help with a trouble in my disk (mbw1t), I cannot logging in using su - and I get the error "su: BusyBox binary has insufficient rights to set proper GID for applet!"
In some posts of this forum is said that /bin/busybox permissions have to be root:root -rwsr-sr-x and mine are -rwxr-xr-x 1 root ALBERTO
As I cannot login su - (ssh ALBERTO at 192.168.1.3 yes) I'm trying to enable telnet to accordingly change those permissions because I read telnet logging as root with no password is possible, but in my disk I have no telnetd enabled ("telnet stream tcp nowait root /usr/bin/telnetd telnetd" line has to be in /etc/inetd.conf, I can't modify this file…
The third obstacule to use telnet is enabling it using http://<IP-OF-YOUR-MYBOOK>/auth/firmware_upgrade.pl?fwserver=www.geekoh.com/mybook/telnet firmware but it always refused to load informing me that i have to stop shares (no ssh and no samba mount enabled)
The situation is a bit annoying, I can't use ipkg and would be nice to have su - access again… Please Help!!!
