Ok so I have the WD World Bok 1TB drive with NAS firmware 01.01.16 updated. I performed all of the steps found on martin's page for an alternate web server, rebooted and now when I log in with Putty via windows using root and welc0me, it just crashes putty and won't let me back in. The device also no longer reports it's IP address and DataVolume Usage it displays "failed". It still sorta works but seems to be a mess.
I was just searching for a way to actually share the external USB drives I have connected to it via a USB hub. It recognizes that they are there but simply will not share them so Twonky cannot see them. I am at a complete loss as to what to do now. Oh and now I get some nice thermal alarms popping up while using the web interface. ALso, the alternate web interface that was supposed to appear on port 8080 never showed up but all of these new problems did! woot woot
UPDATE: I just performed a power-up factory reset on it and now it's a brick. Off to Best Buy I go. Any ideas why this all happened?
