Right now all the pages except the home page is password protected. Does anyone know how to change the config file (/etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf or elsewhere) to protect the entire admin pages ?
Try this workaround:
- use your favorite editor to edit /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf
- Change the line that says index-file.names = ( "nasMaster.pl")
- to read index-file.names = ( "index.html", "nasMaster.pl" )
- as root type the following at the commandline (or copy and paste the following)
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-W3CDTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
<title>This Site Requires a Password!</title>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;URL=/auth/nasMaster.pl" />
I need to be sure you belong here…<br />
<a href="http://mybook/auth/home.pl" title="Login Required">Admin</a>
After this loading the mybook will load the index.html by default and provide the redirect to nasMaster.pl which will then request the password before continuing.
