I have 3 external HD's that I want to put on the MyBook World Edition II. The problem is that they are all formatted NTFS and when they are mounted they are read only. I was sucessful at building a ntfs-3g-1.616 on a Centos system and the drives were mountable, readable, writeable, and shareable via SAMBA. I also built and installed the NTFS tools.
I still can't figure out this cross compile stuff. I have been trying for ages to create a build environment for the broadcom based routers so I can create custom firmwares but no avail. So if I can't do it for a router I am sure I can't create a compile environment for the MBWEII.
It would be great to have full NTFS support to get these drives off systems that burn a lot of power and on to the MBWEII without having to reformat them to an ext file system. Any suggestions on where to start?
