I'm using my 1TByte MBW (white lights) as a video share. Most of the files are bigger than 4 GByte. I'm running out of space now. I thought it would be a good idea to plug an external 1,5 TByte USB drive to my MBW.
Most of the PCs using that share are MS Windows machines. So NTFS is the first choice. But 'echo "ntfs" » /etc/filesystems' doesn't work with the latest firmware 01.01.16.
I've changed some samba share to 777, umounted that share and mounted a xfs formated usb device on that share again.
That worked once.
But after a reboot of the system, the system mounts again /dev/md2 over that share. I've completed /etc/auto_mount_list. That doesn't help. What is worse: the USB drive isn't recognized any more. The next question is, whether the system will ever "overmount" /dev/md2.
Has anybody a solution for me? Does someone know where I can get that 01.00.14 firmware?
Thxs for your help.
