Okay, I messed up. I am asking for help to regain root access for my mybook world.
I had sshd working and had normal user account. From there I was able to su and get root access.
I had samba 3.2, I decided to try newer samba 3.4
On console, I removed samba "ipkg remove samba"
Then I upgraded "ipkg install samba34"
ipkg went to work and installed some additional packages.
Everything seemed to work okay.
Until I noticed smb-shares didn't work anymore.
And I could not su to root anymore.
I still have normal user access, su says: "su: must be suid to work properly"
I cannot sudo, it says "USER is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported."
Any ideas how to proceed?
