I am running several MBWE units and I think I may have messed up one of them.
I store all of my video files on them.
I then use a Win7 computer running Boxee to access them by mapping the drives in Windows and telling Boxee where my files are. The Win7 computer is logged in as the same user/pass as a user on the drive. It has worked perfectly up until I started messing with them, trying to fix one file name.
Now, Boxee can no longer read them.
In Windows 7, the mapped drive still shows the files, but they are shown as hidden. I can still play the files using VLC. Because they are hidden, Boxee cannot see them.
I was mucking around with permissions using chmod and now I am running into this. I used chmod -R 777 /shares/internal/PUBLIC.
When I do a
ls -ld /shares/internal/...../24.S02E01.avi
-rwxrwxrwx 1 rsava rsava 478032822 Jan 25 2009 /shares/internal/..../24.S02E01.avi
When I do
ls -ld /shares/internal/...../Season_2
drwxrwxrwx 2 rsava rsava 4096 Apr 3 05:16 /shares/internal/..../Season_2
Can someone help me please? I promise not to screw around with things anymore without checking here first…..
