I have an older bluelight MyBookWorld. I upgraded to the Whitelight version because I needed the media server. I worked out how to address a usb attached drive with twonky and thought it would be nice to access the bluelight drive in a similar fashion. I followed the directions in another post here that concerned mounting shared drives from an XP machine (http://mybookworld.wikidot.com/cifs-for-whitelight), but I'm having no luck mounting the bluelight.
Command I'm trying to use is:
mount -t cifs //10.0.0.3/PUBLIC /mnt/mybook0
if /mnt/mybook0 subdirectory exists (pretty sure that is what needs to happen), I get:
mount: Mounting //10.0.0.3/PUBLIC on /mnt/mybook0 failed: Invalid argument
If /mnt/mybook0 does not exist, I get:
mount: Mounting //10.0.0.3/PUBLIC on /mnt/mybook0 failed: No such file or directory
I'm logged in as root on the whitelight box.
Any other information I need to collect? I'm sure I'm doing something dumb, so any enlightenment would be appreciated.
