Can anyone help me install and configure squid?

I was hoping I could set up my MBWE as a proxy server.
My work has an annoying filter meaning I cant while away hours on the internet :)
I was thinking Squid is the answer, and its available from Optware
The only problem is, im certainly no computer genius, and wonder if anyone else had done this, and how I might configure Squid to get it working.
I'd be very grateful for any help (an idiots guide would be much appreciated!)

Hello Paultax,

On the Whitelight OpenVPN Mybook Feature packs, (http://highlevelbits.free.fr),
tinyproxy is installed and configured to allow web proxy over VPN.
if you are already using openvpn, then just click "Enable Web Proxy" in the menu
this can only be a solution if you are local administrator of your office computer as openvpn requires admin privileges.

if you do not want to /cannot to use OpenVpn, but only proxy, tinyproxy is easy to configure.
ipkg install tinyproxy

the conf is described in :
/opt/etc/tinyproxy/tinyproxy.conf
ensure you modify the allow line to allow your office public ip addresses
ensure you configure a user and password

to start automatically at startup , something like the following should be sufficient :
echo "/opt/sbin/tinyproxy &">/opt/etc/S20tinyproxy
chmod a+x /opt/etc/S20tinyproxy
