Hello. I have a Mybookworld 500. About a month ago both lights on the drive were flashing simultaneously. I found out that this is an indication that the drive has overheated. I powered off the drive for several hours before trying to power on again and reconnect. I was unable to map the drive. When I would select the network name for the drive (mybookworld) I kept getting an error saying that the "server is not configured for transactions".
I was however able to successfully map it using the LAN IP of the drive. But, I am only able to access certain folders. Other ones that I cannot access give an "access denied" error.
I have performed a factory reset of the device. I still cannot map the drive by name, nor am I able to access the web interface to see if any changes need to be made.
This problem occurs on all computers on the network, 2 laptops (one was running vista and has since been changed to XP Pro), the other laptop, also running XP pro, and a tower running Windows Home Server. I am not sure what else to do?
