I've had my MBWE (white) 1TB network disk for some time now and I'm very happy with it. I've installed featurepacksmanager (with Transmission and the webserver), and I've recently installed MySQL. Also, I finally managed to disable Mionet by repairing the script as described on this website.
Now for the problem. Recently, the disk is somehow always making noise - like it's reading or writing. It's also quite a bit slower to access than it used to be. While everything works fine, this is still quite annoying and I'd like to fix it!
I tried to install MyCheck but haven't succeeded so far (though it was easy on my old blue light). I thought it could be Twonky indexing new files or something, but that shouldn't take days (and it seems to be ready, anyways). I've restarted the system a couple of times, but that didn't work. /var/log/messages doesn't show anything besides the Transmission script. Also, it doesn't matter if it's connected to the internet or not.
I really can't find where the problem lies. Can anybody help me with this? Is there a way to see what the drive is currently doing?
Thanks in advance!
