Is there a way that you can customize the login page for the WD webUI? I was thinking that it would be useful to put a link to transmission and a link to accessbook on there. For local network use only. I assume you could simply modify the html or php file that is the login page? The biggest problem is figuring out which file it is and where it is stored. Does anyone know?
i do not like too much this idea: for me, the entry point is AccessBook,
There is a link in AccessBook that links to the Western digital interface and Featurepacks,
and there is also a link to Transmission.
( check the Web redirect menu)
More than that, these links are available even remotely.
I see your concern but it really depends on how you execute it. I was actually thinking of coding the links so that they only pointed to the internal IP address of say transmission. Like this: http://ip.of.mybook:9091. That way the link would be totally useless from the outside because it would point to a lan address that you could only access if you were on the inside of the network.
But I also think it would be more practical to have AccessBook as the link in. When you start using the MyBook it is more likely that you will be at the AccessBook page. I just don't use it yet because I'm not done configuring this thing.
Anyway, I have looked all over AccessBook and I can't find any links that point to Transmission or FP or WD UI. Where exactly is the Web redirect menu? I was hoping that maybe I could put some nice shiny icons on the startpage of AccessBook so that it would be obvious and easy to access.
on the Whitelight,
in the FeaturePacksManager,
within the WebServer Feature pack,
there is a "WebRedirect" menu
you can tick the
"Western digital Admin interface"
then click ok.
this will create the shortcuts in AccessBook.
