Hi all, I'm new to the forum, have searched some, but can't seem to find any useable info on this topic.
I have about 400gigs of mp3 sitting in a music folder in the "root" of my MB now recently I made the switch to an iMac. Now I would like to use iTunes to play my music, but can only use the public/shared music folder in the iTunes server. Now I don't want to go through the pain of moving all that files, because of the time it will take and out of principle.
Now in general I am interrested in dealing with this folders. I would like to have more control over them, without 'hacking' my MB.
Any info on the subject would be highly appriciated.
Thnx in advance!!!
Alright I have cracked this one to my satisfaction at this moment:
Using Terminal SSH, creating a softlink:
- root@WDMB's address
- pw welc0me
- cd ..
- cd into /DataVolume/Public/Shared Music (mind the caption and cd into 'Shared Music' using ' ')
- ln -s /SomeSharedFolder/Music/ '/DataVolume/Public/Shared Music'
