So here is what I have learned…
DON'T FILL UP THE system partition ( which is only 200 MB), if you do holding down the reset button will not fix the problem. This will make accessing all of your data inaccessible. The problem is that once the system partition is full the system will not boot, it wont load the network stuff and you will not be able to access the box at all. If you have RAID 5, your can kiss your data good by, I tried all kinds of things and I was unable to get my data back. If you fill up the system partition the only way to get the system working is to remove the bottom drive, attach to a PC, boot to a Linux live CD or Gpart or something like that and delete all the partitions. Once you do this, put the bottom drive back in the ShareSpace then it will see the empty drive, partition it, install the OS from the system board flash and then reboot( blue and orange lights) then it will rebuild the Raid Array from nothing. ( on the 8 TB system this took almost 2 days before the drive was usable)
This drive does not have SCP installed. I do not know if its even installable.
The crontabs jobs are in
use this to stop and start the cron tabs service
Hopefully others will share what they learned and maybe how to install SCP, the my books have SCP installed not sure why WD left this out.
