I changed jobs and could no longer use my non-standard ssh port. It was 32000, when it was the standard one, I was 'servicing' brute force password hacks all the time, so I changed it.
Well since I couldn't connect to 32000 (due to dumb firewall rules at work), I was recommended to use port 80.
I forgot that my MBWE has a web server and so changed the sshd_config file to use port 80 and worse, my /etc/services file to associate port 80 with ssh.
after HUP-ing inetd I can now no longer either ssh in nor can I web browse so I can't (say) try a firmware update and get ssh access back.
