Once hacked this is a good piece of kit. However transfer rates are a bit slow, and a few people have commented that the CPU is at 100% when doing large transfers.
I wonder how the clocks are generated. Probably there is a crystal external and a PLL inside the Oxford Semiconductor chip to boost the frequency. Is there a seperate crystal for the processor and one for the RTC (real time clock)? If there are seperate crystals it may be possible to overclock simply by changing the main crystal for a faster one. (I've done this on an old pentium pro and it worked, although it didn't have a seperate crystal for the RTC which was a major disadvantage).
I've opened my box before but it's closed at the minute, anyone got theirs in bits who could have a look?
