We've been using our MyBook World at my current place of employment for the past 2 years without any major problems.
Up until now we've had no problems accessing it from all computers on the network, however today one of the computers no longer has write ability to it. All the file permissions seem to be set to "Read-Only" for one computer in the office, while the rest still have ability to read and write to it over the network.
It seems bizarre to stop working for one computer and not all of them.
We have mapped the MyBook as a network drive to each of the computers as:
without problems, except for one computer which required:
in order to operate correctly. It seems that the one requiring the id in the server location is the one that now can't access over the network.
Unfortunately I wasn't the one who initially setup the network, nor the MyBook and I'm reluctant to do anything serious to it as it contains the majority of our important files.
