Ok, I will start om the beginning. I got a 1tb MBW nas to use for movie backup and streaming to the ps3. While putting my media on there, I screwed up and deleted a lot of it.
So, I took it apart, put it inside my mac pro, and have ran recovery for the last few days.
Got my stuff back, but now what I would like to do:
1: Find a way to mount it in either mac or Linux, and remove the remaining media, and transfer the organized media directly to it instead of via network
2: I saw that one of the older versions of the fw is faster. This thing is slow as frozen molasses. Think it's .18…..
How would I downgrade?
3: every time my folks restart their computers it looses the nas drive letter mapping. How could I set it to keep the letter so I don't have to reteach the alsheimers generation every time?
