I set a FTP server and create two users. I was total newbie in ssh and in this level of linux editing so I probably did some things not that well as I should. I ended up with two users from which one is O.K. to have access all over the server, but I want the second one (let's call him "guest") to have access only to PUBLIC folder in shares/internal/. When I login in from FTP client as guest I see both folders that are in internal folder: HOME and PUBLIC. I set on HOME directory chmod 776 so guest can't open it and I could live with this. But the guest can then go through FTP client up the tree and see all the files on MyBook and enter every folder on root tree that has permission set to 777. I guess I somehow gave to guest root rights. I would like guest to be limited just to Public folder and not to be able to browse on my root tree.
The other thing: is it possible to delete those ID… folders created by Mionet and are shown in Windows explorer?
Any help would be very appreciated!
