New OS base on stock OS … but only on small part of it. I trying to get more help from WD about kernel modules and build env - for now no success so the stock kernel must be still used.
Ofc I do not plan to wipe data partition BUT I always recomend to do full backup (I know, it`s hard to do with 2TB ;p).
In plans installer will do small rearranges in data partition - create new folders for downloads and user protected shares. Also I will delete old download folder (or rename if it not empty).
First priority of OpenWorld is SPEED, especially web-panel speed. It`s web2.0 - more ajax, more js ;)
For now core system is almost ready, research is done and 2 functions in webgui working as I`m wish - http downloader (mbwe is stable up to 82 files at time with 24Mb/s connection but not all resources is used - my DSL provider cuts to 100 connections at time) and system services managment (start/stop/add to autorun/remove autorun/state).
Why progress is slow?
So……. I`m studdent and the core system need many improvments like completly rewriting most of init script (I don`t know who written /etc/init.d/sshd stop -> killall -9 sshd is not so good method to stop ssh daemon).
p.s. Please, be lenient with my poor spelling - English is not my strongest point;)
