I have some troubles after i recovered my system from an image with dd.
I was playing with this tutorial : http://mybookworld.wikidot.com/new-web-interface. For safety reasons a imade a backup as described in the tutorial
dd if=/dev/sda1 of=/shares/internal/backup
Afterward i wanted to restore my system to the original shape, so i made
dd if=/shares/internal/backup of=/dev/sda1
After reboot i realized, that tha journal on /dev/mda1 is broken and the system is in read-only mode. So i tried
e2fsck -fy /dev/md1
and it recovered a great number of errors, but an the end was :
/dev/md1: ***** FILE SYSTEM WAS MODIFIED ***** /dev/md1: ***** REBOOT LINUX ***** /dev/md1: ********** WARNING: Filesystem still has errors ********** /dev/md1: 9894/368000 files (0.2% non-contiguous), 73579/734944 blocks
For example there was a symlink i created before and this symlink is still there and cannot be removed.
# rm -r -f /usr/bin/vi cannot lstat `/usr/bin/vi': Input/output error
When i try to delete the link with midnight commander i get abourted journal imidiately.
Now i don't know what to do. I expected that the backup-recovery procedure would be safe.
Could anyone help me please ?
Thanks in advance K
