The recent 2.11 update to transmission has brought in a new Compact View option that I am absolutely in love with. This makes it so much easier to see on smaller screen devices.
How is the stability? Lately Transmission 2 has started freezing on my MBWE whitelight after a week or so. Specially if I download something with a lot of seeders. Only help is to restart MBWE.
Unfortunately, it also isn't stable - the web interface freezes every few hours while downloading, though "killall - HUP" helps. Previously, with 2.04 (I think) I had no problems at all.
"Compact view" just isn't worth it - I'm going back.
i think it fairly common problem that the web/rpc interface don't work when downloading on high speeds, the daemon itself doesn't hang, it's still downloading
Well to be honest I have no issues with stability, but then again I wrote my own script to manage transmission, getting torrents, rss feeds, etc. That being said, the service does go down from time to time but my script manages that for me and it works just fine.
I have never had to run anything more that a killall transmission-da to stop the service and restart it, but again this is really best managed with a script.
