Recently joined the wiki and was able to improve the performance of my device 100x thanks to all the helpful & informative posts here.
I've read hundreds of posts and pretty much all of the walk-thru's especially the ones geared to adding addtional plug-ins to the device. I'm pretty sure I've settled on Transmission as the torrent manager of choice to use (seems like most everyone on here also agrees).
I would like some input on what everyone else sees as the choice app to use for a media server? I'm mostly using the device to store all my movies, music & photos and access those through my various PS3's around the house (I have 4 in all, 3 wiressless, 1 wired). I have a pretty decent dual N+ router & a DOCSIS 3 modem so network throughput shouldn't be a problem.
Is Twonky the best/recommended app to use (after updating to the lastest version of course) or should I look at replacing it with one of the alternatives such as MediaTomb or uShare?
Any input/feedback is much appreciated. I have a very limited knowledge of Unix but hopefully I can give back to the community in some way.
