I am having tons to weird errors trying to get the svnserve and svn tools to work correctly on bluering.
Using Optware I install subversion 1.6.12 from the standard bluering packages.
I setup a repository and tried to access it from a Mac (using a slightly older svn 1.5.5) and get endless "Authentication" errors trying to checkout and/or commit changes. Without changing the default settings, you can checkout (read) and not be able to commit (write) as anonymous. But in changing the setting to be less strict made it worse and now I cannot even checkout to the Mac.
Always get this very vague error.
svn: Authorization failed
For debugging sake, I setup the svnserve on the Mac. I was able to checkout to the Mac, then changed svnserve.conf so anonymous can write, then I could commit a change to the repos. So, this should work.
But in just trying to checkout the Mac repos on the bluering you get this error.
[FINKLE@bluering test_co]$ svn co svn://192.168.1.101:12345/test svn: Can't read directory 'test': Address family not supported by protocol
I googled this error since its a little more verbose and noticed a bunch of people with similar problems:
I think there is a problem with the 'ucLibc' library which means things are complicated than I thought. Has anybody got Subversion to work yet?
