Many thanks to the person that wrote this page - It looks like it'll do exactly what I want to do.
The only problem is that I'm not sure about the changes to the configuration paths.
When I got my drive I created shares for everyone in the house. So if I list the contents of /shares/internal I see USER1, USER2, USER3, PUBLIC, lost+found.
Is the shares/internal/DATA directory one that exists but doesn't show up with ls, but inside which all of the shares that I created with the WD storage manager exist? (As you can probably tell I really don't know a lot about linux file system, & mounts).
In a note at the bottom of the page it says that when using this script you can't have files in the DATA_BACKUP_DIRS_HOME directory.
Can I just set '/shares/internal' as the DATA_BACKUP_DIRS_HOME?
Also, I only want one, current, backup of all the shares. In the configuration section of the script it says:
#- number of saved snapshots before the first becomes deleted
Can I just confirm that this'll be ok with a value of 1?
Any help here would be appreciated.
