I recently published a post that my history file was not working. Did a bit more investigation.
sh -x /root/.bash_profile (basically runs it almost as debug)
.bash_profile basically sets up environmental and preferences and also calls upon .bashrc. The "." makes this a hidden file so you need to do ls -la to view it in /root.
- sh -x .bash_profile
[ -f /root/.bashrc ]
.bash_profile: .bash_profile: 9: source: not found
So this command cannot find the command "source".
I cannot find an "sbin" directory. Just trying to figure if I deleted it somehow when I was dicking around.
Can someone run this command and tell me if it works and if so do a:
find / -name "source" -print
and tell me what directory it is in.
If I have got rid of /sbin, any ideas where I can get it.
