I want to enable quota on MyBook. Because the drive uses ext3 I have to compile quota. After downloading the source from Sourceforge, ./configure went ok. During the ./make I received an error: rpcgen: Command not found.
I tried to compile nfs-utils, rpcgen is part of it, but failed, again.
I copied rpcgen from Debian 3.1 and Fedora 2, but they did not work. (Unable to execute binaries …)
On the disc is xfsquota available. Would it be an idea to change ext3 into xfs? Or is that stupid?
I would prefer to keep ext3 …
Any clues on this? WD support does not reply to my support call.
