Hello, I'm wondering if the software raid can influence the My Book World's performance ?
When I type mdadm /dev/md4 I get the following lines :
[root@MyBookWorld ~]# mdadm --detail /dev/md4 /dev/md4: Version : 00.90.03 Creation Time : Wed Feb 20 02:07:37 2002 Raid Level : raid1 Array Size : 484327552 (461.89 GiB 495.95 GB) Device Size : 484327552 (461.89 GiB 495.95 GB) Raid Devices : 2 Total Devices : 1 Preferred Minor : 4 Persistence : Superblock is persistent Update Time : Mon Dec 24 11:11:33 2007 State : clean, degraded Active Devices : 1 Working Devices : 1 Failed Devices : 0 Spare Devices : 0 UUID : feafb8a9:51885a26:d441bd5e:976a2ce2 Events : 0.388878 Number Major Minor RaidDevice State 0 8 4 0 active sync /dev/sda4 1 0 0 1 removed
So it it seen as degraded. Anyone know why they used software raid on the 500Go edition ? As far as I know there is no place for another drive lol.
Also I've seen another strange things :
[root@MyBookWorld ~]# cat /proc/cpu/alignment User: 1382 System: 834763 Skipped: 0 Half: 0 Word: 834763 DWord: 0 Multi: 0 User faults: 0 (ignored)
I don't know much about but it seems memory is missadressed a lot of time.
