Asterisk + Freepbx Install ?

Hello guys,

I was wondering if anyone of you succeeded an install of Asterisk (1.6 or 1.8) with Freepbx ?

I have bricked my device 3(!!!!) times trying various different installs:

- OPTWARE : Asterisk + Mysql ; Local : Freepbx with Apache ——> even after having modified every possible config files, it doesn't work (can't install amp)
- OPTWARE : Asterisk, Local : Mysql + Freepbx with Apache —> same problem
- OPTWARE : Apache, Lightppd, MySql —> Can't populate Sql data in MySql (Loses connection every time, tried to modified config files but doesn't change)
- Many other combinations

If someone succeeded it, any help would be very appreciated…

Hey, hope this helps.
If you're brave enough to run optware, then it's just a small jump to running full on debian. The guide here worked right out of the box on my white light 1tb

but there's an option in that thread for most of the model family
I used the Debian 6.0 v2.1 .tar.gz file. One Note: it takes a LONG time and provides little feedback, and MAY change your IP address ( it did mine). But I found it again from the router settings on my LAN :-)
The following script I've modified from something I found on the web a while ago (I wish I could remember where to give credit?) and you should pretty readily see how to change which editions of which tools its building. I have only run it on my own machine, but it's up and working swimmingly. The only bug I know of is I have to run 'amportal start' on CL everytime i restart before the asterisk daemon comes up properly, but if you or anyone else tries this please report back and I'll try to troubleshoot. * & freePBX is a new hobby of this 'ol toad.

Hi frogythegreat,

When running

aptitude install linux-headers-`uname -r`

I get error message:
Couldn't find any package whose name or description matched "linux-headers-2.6.24.4"

Did I miss some setting?
