my WDWE II 500GB is perfectly working since about 2 weeks. I've used Martin Hinner's way (thanks to him) to enable SSH and I followed the instructions in [http://kyyhkynen.net/stuff/mybook/index.php] for a smart spindown (thanks to kyyhkynen).
Now I've planned to install Dokuwiki.
But now I've the problem to decide how I should install dokuwiki. Should I use Optware or should I compile dokuwiki (and PHP too) natively?
- What are the advantages of both ways?
- Which one is the safetest way to NOT brick my WDWE?
- What about performance?
- Question for optware: as far as I understand the installation process it is like this: if I do a /opt/bin/ipkg install dokuwiki then all dependencies get installed too. But where are the dependencies defined. In [http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/gumstix1151/cross/unstable/Packages] I cannot see them.
- I also think for the day I decide to uninstall dokuwiki. What has to be done then? Is there a un-install option?
Please let me know your opinions.
