i'm using crontab to run some things every day.
And it would be nice, if the mybookworld white light sends me an email report with the output of the script.
And then i read about MAILTO.
I've created a small test crontab:
~ # crontab -l MAILTOfirstname.lastname@example.org * * * * * echo "blaah"
This should send me every minute an email with "blaah" in the body. Am i correct?
Because i do not receive anything:(
Is there some additional packages requiered for this feature?
As an alternative, i tried to install postfix (i have NO experience with those email-things) and add the status-email manually to my script but ..
I#ve installed it via ipkg and then i tried to start it:
~ # /opt/etc/init.d/S69postfix start starting service postfix postsuper: fatal: scan_dir_push: open directory defer: Permission denied postfix/postfix-script: fatal: Postfix integrity check failed!
Have no idea what to do next.
Is there anybody out there who uses automatic email-reports with his mybookworld?
