avahi-daemon is not starting automatically after a reboot. It works if I manually start it however. Does anyone know why avahi-daemon might not be starting automatically?
My rc2.d directory has the following link:
S60mDNSResponder -> ../init.d/avahi-daemon
To manually start, I can type ./S60mDNSResponder start
(proving that the link in rc2.d is working ok)
Note that sometime ago I changed the link from S60mDNSResponder -> ../init.d/mDNSResponder to the above to use avahi instead. I don't know if avahi-daemon was ever starting automatically - I just realized it doesn't today. When I was using mDNSResponder, I do recall that this started automatically without any issues.
I have searched around the web and found this reference, but could not make head or tail of it: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=647831
Any thoughts appreciated.
