Edited after new version:
Looking through transmission forums, I found out that 2.31 had a problem with uploading/seeding for some private trackers.

The new version 2.32 is out, which fixes these issues hopefully.

Any ideas on how to update to this version? I had previously installed transmission 2.31 via feature packs

yeah, I found this post as well, would love to make it working again …. but don't know how to ….

to me it looks, like you need to edit thode 2 files, I just don't know where to look for them, I'm newbiw in this as well, …. anyone can help us please?

I was able to install transmission 2.32 over my existing transmission (installed over featurepacks) using these 2 commands:

/opt/bin/ipkg update

/opt/bin/ipkg install transmission

yes, because I asked optware support to update feeds :) … I'm trying to downgrade to 2.22 now, don't knnow how to './configure' the source code … it says 'no acceptable C compiler found in $path' .. what does that mean?

I would suggest 2.32 version first.

You have to install a C compiler before configuring 2.22 build.
I think that finding the optware 2.22 version directly as a package from the internet, and installing it as usual with

/opt/bin/ipkg install XXX
where XXX = the name of the ipk downloaded

would be much easier than building from source code.

Previous builds of transmission are here, hopefully they are compatible with My Book

Download the version that you want. If you cannot downgrade for a reason, first back up your transmission settings, delete the new version, than install the old version.

Just to update, I confirmed that you can go back to 2.22 using this file and the command:

http://transmission-ipk.googlecode.com/files/transmission_2.22-1_powerpc.ipk

ipkg -force-downgrade install transmission_2.22-1_powerpc.ipk

that powerpc version doesn't work for me. ipkg says 'invalid magic' .. then I installed 2.01-arm version and it installed succesfuly, but when I tried to run the daemon it said it cannot execute binary file….wt hell?
