before i bought my MBWE las week i used Freenas, with an 750W power supply; this was too expensive so i looked for a nice/modable alternative.
On Freenas was a mt-daap service running like on MBWE with file access on my dyndns domain.
to do this on your own you have to install FireFly server; following This Tutorial
To get a webaccess to your broadcasted Library do following things.
use your ssh-terminal to access your MBWE as root
going to web-admin folder of firefly
cd /opt/share/mt-daapd/admin-root
downloading the fireplay files
wget http://www.mellberg.org/FirePlay.zip
unzip the files
unzip FirePlay.zip
close the terminal and open your webbrowser
accessing the new installed Files in local network (notice case sensitive)
http://your_mbwe_ip:3689/FirePlay.html
access with standart settings:
User: mt-daapd
PW: mt-daapd
to change PW go to "http://your_mbwe_ip:3689/config.html"; and change "Admin password" on the top
to get access to this page you have to forward the port "3689" on your router to your MBWE IP

ps.: firefly is one of the best daap server, because it is serving the files in the correct order sortet by its TrackID (if configed in your files). you can also define playlists, that are shown in Itunes or Fireplay.
