I gained a lot of help from Martin Hinner's page a few months ago and only recently found this site, which helped with spinning down the hard drives and fans, etc. Now I have another question:
I have a virtual linux server hosted with Servelocity and several domain names I'm not really using. I'm wondering if I can tie one of those domain names to my hard drive at home. Something similar to how DynDNS.org works would be great. For instance, when my hard drive is switched on (or is connected to the internet), it connects to my server with a username and password and my server routes all DNS queries to www.mydomain.com to the hard drive, wherever it is. This would mean if I left my hard drive at work, I could still access it just by connecting to the domain.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
