At first soory for my bad english. I brick MyBook and ich read the tutorials to unbrick but it doesnt work. I have connected my device via usb to ubuntu 11.04.
sudo fdisk -l .. shows this
/dev/sdb1 5 248 15679440 fd Linux raid autodetect Partition 1 does not start on physical sector boundary. /dev/sdb2 249 280 2056320 fd Linux raid autodetect /dev/sdb3 281 403 7903980 fd Linux raid autodetect /dev/sdb4 404 121601 3493216184 fd Linux raid autodetect Partition 4 does not start on physical sector boundary.
I want to mount the sdb4 to save my data but:
onkelbums@ubuntu:~$ sudo mount -t xfs -o rw /dev/sdb4 /mnt/mybook mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb4, missing codepage or helper program, or other error In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so
I have also the MyBook Rescue tool but it cant detect the device in windows. There are somybody who know a way to restore the first 3 partitions? The last partition should be untouched because of my data.
