First of all, thank you for helping everyone in this forum, for me it has been an excelente guide to improve my mbwe. I'm from Chile, so I don't speak english very good, so I hope you can be patient with my english.
Well, few months ago, I wanted to install in my MBWE white light version, the set of tools WIT (found it in this site wit.wiimm.de the source code is in this site: opensvn.wiimm.de/viewvc/wii/trunk/wiimms-iso-tools/)** I'm a new user so i can't post links :'( , please add the "https" to the links**, these are programs to manage the ISOs files of Wii games and put them in USB drives . To install it, i know i have to do some cross-compile. I downloaded the toolchain in the source pack WD-MyBookWorld-v1.02.06-GPL from the site of WD. Then i just did:
make CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux.gnueabi- (previusly i added the path of the toolchain to the PATH). It compiled with a few warnings. By the way I used ubuntu x86 11.04 (32 bits)(I've just installed it and upgrade with apt). I tried to execute one of the bin files and nothing happened obviusly, so I think that it worked but it didn't, when i moved it to the mbwe and executed it (previusly i did chmod 775 to the files), it sent me this error: ./wit: ./wit: 1: Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")") and the same with the other wit, wwt, etc (Tools of the program)..I've seen this error in many cases when the file is not compatible with the system, so i think that i did something wrong in the cross compile. Can you help me?. I'm kind of noob in this area so i'd appreciate if you can be patient with me. Thank you !.
PD: If helps, uname -a in mbwe show this -> Linux 188.8.131.52 CST 2010 armv5tejl and cat /proc/version show this -> Linux version 184.108.40.206 (gcc version 4.2.4) #1 Thu Apr 1 16:43:58 CST 2010
Thank you. Greetings !.
